Officine Re Sas started in 1953 for entrepreneurial initiative of its founder Mr. Ezio Re and immediately specialized in the production of metal mudgards for bicyles asserting themselves on the Italian market as a supplier of the leading factories of bicycles known both to national and european level.
After a few years, thanks to its success, it was decided to acquire a new equipment for chrome plating in order to carry out the work within the plants in Saronno. This investment allowed for a more direct control over the quality of the final product and made the production more flexible, while shortening delivery times to the various customers throughout the country.
With the entry in the company of the founder's sons, Ambrogio and Graziella, Officine Re Sas received a new impulse and went through a gradual but radical renewal of production equipments to the latest technologies available.
In the mid-
Two presses for the molding of thermoplastic material were also installed and the production of plastic mudgards and chain covers for baby bicycles began.
At the same time, thanks to the expertise and ingenuity of Mr. Ambrogio, the internal development of specific production lines for metal rims for bicycles was started.
At the end of the nineties, to meet the new market demands, the production of metal rims was set aside and replaced by the production of aluminum alloy rims.
Customers were growing and with them the volumes of production. To meet the increasing demand of alloy rims, all the production lines were fully renovated in 2003 and partially automated through the use of robots.
In 2005 a new product was introduced: a new press for the co-
